PIAFF's mission is to actively promote and celebrate French culture and arts in the United States and the World through diverse performing arts initiatives, ranging from concerts and dance shows to cinema and comedy and theatre. We are dedicated to promoting the talent of French and Francophone artists, fostering cultural exchange, and enriching understanding and appreciation of French arts among diverse audiences. For over 13 years, PIAFF's Team has been supporting artists such as Anne Roumanoff, Kev Adams, Gad Elmaleh, Jeff Panacloc, Jeanfi Jannssens, Laura Laune, Gims, Zaho de Sagazan, Julien Dassin and Michel Boujenah in their tours across the Atlantic. PIAFF is building a cultural bridge between the continents and across the world by promoting shows in the 5 main life Arts: standup comedy, cinema, dance, plays and music.
Founded in San Francisco, PIAFF is the first organization on the West Coast entirely dedicated to bringing French and Francophone performing arts to American audiences. From our roots in the Bay Area, we have grown into the leading force in French-language cultural programming across the United States — connecting comedians, musicians, and performers with francophone and francophile communities from Los Angeles to Seattle, from Boston to New York.
Building on that leadership, PIAFF is now expanding beyond US borders — developing new partnerships and programming in Canada, North Africa, and the Caribbean, with the firm belief that Francophone culture deserves a stage as rich and diverse as the communities it brings together.
PIAFF is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in San Francisco, California (EIN #93-1576574) — the American equivalent of France's loi de 1901.
